Hot Spaghetti

If you like a little bit of a spicy taste on your plate, you must try this recipe! And what could be more romantic than a homemade pasta dinner for two?

  • 5 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 onion minced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 chili
  • a pinch of salt pepper
  • a pinch of cayenne pepper
  • a pinch of fresh or dry oregano
  • a pinch of fresh or dry basil
  • pasta of your choice


  • Using a knife, slice an x on the bottom of each tomato and put them into some hot water. When the skin starts to wrinkle, split them and strip the skin from them. Then, roughly chop them.
  • In a small pan, with a little oil, heat some minced onion, tomatoes and cook for about 20 minutes. Add some chili, garlic and all the spices. Simmer the sauce over medium heat. Continue simmering for 15 minutes or until the sauce reaches the taste and consistency you like.
  • Cook your favourite pasta and serve this hot sauce onto it


TIP: Light Sicilian red wine pairs well with this spaghetti.
